In the latest episode of the Thriving Business Network Podcast, we had the pleasure of speaking with Chris Biscoe, the founder of "Chris B On The Web Media." Chris has spent the last decade building a thriving career in podcasting, blogging, and media production. His passion for storytelling and connecting with audiences has fueled an incredible journey of growth, resilience, and creativity.

Meet Chris Biscoe: The Podcasting Pioneer

Chris Biscoe launched "Chris B On The Web Media" nearly ten years ago. Now approaching its 10th anniversary, Chris reflects on his incredible journey, which began with a simple idea and grew into a dynamic media company. As the milestone date of November 14th approaches, Chris plans to celebrate the anniversary with a special live podcast event.

Through his platform, Chris has explored various content formats, from blogs to podcasts and even live-streaming. Whether he's reviewing movies, chatting about TV shows, or engaging with his audience through gaming streams, Chris approaches every project with enthusiasm and authenticity.

A Multi-Faceted Podcasting Career

Over the years, Chris has hosted a range of podcasts. From music and sports to TV and movies, his versatility has attracted a wide audience. Some highlights include his early music and talk podcast, his 265-episode journey with "Everything About Reality TV," and his ongoing work with "The Entertainment Man Podcast."

"Podcasting has been such a crazy journey," Chris shares. "There have been highs, lows, and plenty of learning moments, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything."

His adaptability and creativity have allowed him to navigate the ever-changing podcasting landscape successfully, balancing content production with audience engagement.

Lessons Learned in Podcasting

Chris’s journey hasn’t been without its challenges. He has navigated tech issues, burnout, and the pressures of consistently delivering quality content. However, he has developed strategies to grow and thrive.

For instance, Chris initially focused on audio-only podcasts, which allowed him to refine his craft without the added pressure of video production. Over time, he transitioned back to YouTube, where his podcast reached a broader audience and surpassed 110 subscribers.

"Audio-only was a great way to start," Chris notes. "But coming back to YouTube has been a wild and rewarding adventure."

The Importance of Teamwork

Behind Chris’s success is a supportive and talented team. His long-time collaborator Larry, who he refers to as "two peas in a pod," has been a constant source of inspiration and creativity. The addition of COO Sadie and other team members has further strengthened his operation.

"Having the right team makes all the difference," Chris says. "We’ve gone through ups and downs, but I couldn’t imagine doing this without them."

Sharing His Journey with Autism

Chris’s openness about his autism has been a powerful part of his story. He shares his experiences to inspire others, highlighting the importance of representation and community. Chris has even hosted guests with disabilities on his podcast, creating a space for important conversations.

"I love talking about my journey and showing others they’re not alone," Chris explains. "Hearing other people’s stories has been an inspiration to me."

Upcoming Projects and Collaborations

Chris has plenty of exciting projects in the works. From movie reviews to collaborations with fellow podcasters, he continues to explore new creative opportunities. Some highlights include reviews of classics like "Planes, Trains, and Automobiles," spooky Halloween specials, and upcoming collaborations focused on Bill Murray movies and Canadian TV series.

He also plans to cover local events like the Royal Winter Fair and the Christmas Market, expanding his blog content and connecting with new audiences.

How to Get Featured on Chris's Podcasts

Chris is always on the lookout for inspiring guests. His focus includes motivational speakers, self-help experts, businesses, YouTubers, and mental health advocates. If you’re passionate about one of these areas, Chris would love to have you on his show!
